Whenever I think about these girls, a song comes into my mind,
“Blossom, commander and the leader
Bubbles, she is the joy and the laughter
Buttercup, she’s the toughest fighter
Powerpuffs save the day”
This was one of my favorite cartoons. You might wonder what’s the relation with moms to this but read further. At the starting of the show professor, father of the Powerpuff girls adds three ingredients and accidentally “Chemical X” is gets mixed with the solution which gives the girls super powers.
I always considered my mother as a super woman and in fact our moms are superwoman. Like Powerpuff girls our moms also have the three ingredients Sugar, spice and Everything nice. Chemical X is the love they have for us abundantly.
Like Blossom, mothers are the commanders and leaders leading to the facts of life, which makes us stronger. She is the reason we do things honestly. Like Bubbles, mothers always are caring and kind. They would always make sure we are fed properly and are happy but also make us capable of keeping others happy by our nice behavior. We learn to treat everybody: animals or humans equally. Lastly like Buttercup, mothers always fight for their kids if they are right and make them learn to fight for others who they love.
But then you would ask aren’t Powerpuff girls, girls? Yes, aren’t mothers too? We treat them like superhero. They do everything for us and at the end of the day we start treating them like objects. We start taking them granted and saying it is their duty to love us and do all these things for us. We rarely care for their likes and dislikes.
Powerpuff girls at least have the professor to take care of them. Who does our mothers have if not us! It is not just this day but everyday they should be cared and loved. So lets celebrate this day making sure, we will take care of our mothers all year.
