Travel Series: Blue Rain Cambodia

There are so many things in our world we see every day and still are unaware of their existence. Cambodian architecture has a unique style. Though they make modern style houses and buildings now, like every other culture they include their traditional artistic signature.

On the last day in Cambodia, I was in its capital Phnom Penh. It was a very hot day and I had decided to see palace and such. After palace as I was planning next destination somewhere in shade, just then sky became murky and it started raining heavily. I had to run and take cover. I could see a modern residential building next to me with traditional entrance gate. Top of the building also had traditional style with little bit of the gold color now shining because of water. I wondered if there was any reason for using these specific colors. Another thing which I always had seen but not actively acknowledged were electric cable. They also were shining because of the rain. It seemed like a big knot of thread around the pole accidentally formed. Despite its chaotic display I am sure electric men from the city knew which wires went where. It was beautiful scenery. Sudden rain had created a masterpiece.  It seemed chaotic but it did its job to cool down a hot and tiring day.
