From many days people were sending jokes about Valentine’s day on Whats App, that how it came on the next day of Mahashivratri and if you don’t find company till the day then god is your company. Jokes apart, I said why not!
As for me I am romantic on any day.
The idea of love though is so commercialized today, like it is a business. Sometimes I think I shouldn’t have done MBA, instead could have gone through Master’s in love administration course. I would have earned more money selling ideas for expressing love by copy paste ideas.?
I mean really! we make love so small! So I decided why not go to the master of love, the Shiva, Omkareshwara to learn more.
Why do we celebrate Mahashivratri?
Wikipedia says, they are not sure, there could be many reasons- it was wedding ceremony night of Shiv-Parvati or god himself destroyed the darkness and thus starts a new beginning from this night on and many other such reasons but in all to be awake on this night gives you mystical sense.
I am no mystic but it was magical. It is said that ghosts, ghouls and the rejected from the society are also devotees of Bholenath. Bhola literally translates into naive, vulnerable. My question was how does vulnerability and love go along? Someone shoots at you with a gun because you showed them your vulnerability aka your true heart, bullet is bound to hit you and kill you. Can I avoid the bullets?
Answer came by the quietly flowing Narmada in the night and by the sternly sitting Omkareshwara in the temple. Millions of people everyday bathe, trample river and visit temple, making the house of Omkareshwara look chaotic, yet Omkareshwara gives you positive energy when you sit down in the chaos with peace in your heart. You are least bothered about the crowd- pushing, yelling… heat, cold… or judgments made at you good or bad.
Shiva’s love is like that, focused inwardly, when you stop expressing love through the outward means of society or copy paste skills, and show your true self bravely then it doesn’t matter if your lover fires at you because the bullets wouldn’t even touch you.
