Explore Israel: Tel Aviv story- two tattoos & some scars

It ended where it had begun at Tel Aviv city. As a history nerd, I always wanted to taste the water of Israel literally, apparently it is desert country with four seas, water is always a tough question here. There was this mystical connection which I felt but could never express, finally made me seek out and begin the journey.

On the last day nearby, Old port of Jaffa as I was watching beautiful sunset and giving one of those meditative looks, expecting spiritual or serious thoughts to come in my mind, instead a Chinese couple abruptly shooed me from the spot as they wanted to take a romantic photo. I thought it was funny, I wanted to watch their attempts to take a good selfie but fearing it would be creepy, I started walking away to reality. I say reality as in my thoughts in which God constantly comes up same as the conversations in Israel. I fail to write about god though as I am already tired of words and labels.

We begin the journey to find something, it could be peace or quietness, enjoyment or may be good photos to post on social network or just a good story to tell friends =). Sometimes rarely we seek journey to find ourselves. Yes, it is rare though lot of people say it nowadays but mean it nothing more than hashtag.

Tel Aviv is a city of reality. Everyday so many tourists come from different countries of different religion, race and sexuality.

They see the architectural marvels, amazing beaches, fit bodied people exercising on beaches and parks, cute dogs, all this built miraculously on the scars of country’s history and somehow, they realize their own reality, may be even momentarily but they do.

My reality has a compass I really loved and I gave it away. In this modern age it is still important for old age traveler like me to find north, south, east and west with a magnetic needle. As I ate Shakshuka in the evening when it’s a breakfast dish, Tel Aviv told me I need not find myself as I have never lost. Mandala always had my back telling the intricate ways to explore world similarly compass is imbibed near my heart in infinity finding interesting connection to the city flourished on the scars.
