Compulsory this word, we imbibe it too much from early age. First time we get acquainted with it is in the first standard exam – ” All questions are compulsory! ” And then it starts everywhere- uniform is compulsory… Eating green vegetables are compulsory… Studying four hours is compulsory… and so on till you think you have become adult and it will stop but no, now compulsory becomes fashion- Getting so and so job is compulsory.. Getting married to so and so person is compulsory… even then having kids is compulsory…
Is it really though? How many of us ask that and what happens after that. I felt scared immediately for the first time when I asked. I was like if I don’ t do this surely something bad will happen to me- I would never find the one or I will get rejected by people or my ass will get bitten. Bad things were happening anyway when I was in the compulsory realm except the ass biting part because animals have always been kind to me, despite they are not the only ones who bite 🙂
Anyway where are we in this world and why do we have this constant obsession to find meaning or purpose of life? Questions end up being answered by more questions. May be not always everything is supposed to have purpose or even if it does have, it is NOT COMPULSORY we should care about it.
Life becomes miserable when we make society’s compulsory our survival, may be it is time for change. So we can stop thinking and making sense out of every little graffiti on the street, instead may be just feel what it makes us feel. If it is pain let there be pain, if bliss then bliss it is.
